What Makes Adhar a Better Home

  • Round the clock monitoring
  • Fellowship & friendship
  • Constructive Activities
  • Empathy, Trust and Transparency

Adhar has been working to enrich the life of Special Adults for the past 24 years, 24 X 7, 365 days without any break. We provide lifelong care, Vocational training & Treatment. We also offer Recreation & Rehabilitation facilities with the help of a Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Medical Officers, Social Workers, Special Teachers, Care Takers and other Office Staff.
Along with the lifelong care & protection, work discipline has been inculcated. They work from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and produce articles according to their physical and mental abilities. The products include chalk sticks, candles, paper bags, agarbattis, dusters, mats, decorated earthen lamps (diyas) for Diwali, wall hangings etc.

We are a pioneer institute with 25 years of experience in providing lifelong home & support to intellectually disabled persons. So as we grew our capacities and reach, we also extended this support to other institutions working in the same area.

Our recent projects include:

  • Supporting Sahawas Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha, Sonbardi, Jalgaon that helps special children from rural areas
  • Supporting Dyanprabodhan Matimand Niwasi Vidyalay, Korto, Solapur that take care of special children from rural areas
  • ADHAR Old Age Home: Looking after the senior parents of intellectually disabled by starting an old-age home for them.
