Adhar Badlapur, the first special home initiated by Adhar, was established in 1990 with just 10 children. Since then, it has expanded to accommodate 225 specially-abled adults, including both male and female residents. Over the past 31 years, the center has grown significantly, with support from parents, stakeholders, corporate partners, and well-wishers.

Spanning over 4.5 acres, Adhar Badlapur is a well-equipped facility designed to provide comprehensive care for specially-abled adults. The campus features five dormitories: a dedicated special care unit, one dormitory for females, and three for males, each accommodating approximately 50 residents.

The facility includes essential amenities such as a medical unit, dining hall, multipurpose hall, vocational training center, dairy, and washing shed, ensuring holistic care and support for residents.
