State-Level Parents’ Meet

On 2nd November 2025, ADHAR proudly hosted the State-Level Parents’ Meet at the J.P. Naik Centre for Education and Development, Pune. The event welcomed 270+ parents and representatives from 10 NGOs working in the disability sector, creating a nurturing space for families of individuals with Intellectual Disability, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome.

Inspiring Voices

  • Mr. Achyut Godbole – Renowned author and parent, shared his journey of raising a child with special needs, offering insights on emotional resilience and social acceptance.
  • Mr. Vishwas Gore – Chairman of ADHAR, emphasized the importance of permanent residential care solutions for adults with special needs.
  • Cdr. Shrirang Bijur – Retired Naval Officer and disability sector advisor, guided families with expert financial planning strategies for long‑term security.
  • ADHAR Parents – Mr. Amol Devasthali, Mrs. Kirti Mijar, and Mrs. Anuradha Patwardhan shared powerful personal stories of hope and resilience.

Empowerment & Support

Informative stalls by METCO and IDBI provided valuable guidance on support schemes, financial planning, and security for children with disabilities.

This meet was more than an event it was a milestone in empowerment, uniting parents and NGOs to build a secure, dignified future for individuals with disabilities.
