Parents Meet of Intellectually Disabled Persons at Kolhapur

On June 9, 2024, the Karveer Nagar Vachanalay Hall in Kolhapur was filled with energy and hope as over 45 parents from Kolhapur, Ichalkaranji, Kalamba, Jaisingpur, and surrounding areas gathered for an enriching Parents Meet.

The event aimed to create connections and provide a platform for families of individuals with intellectual disabilities to share experiences. Mr. Vishwas Gore, Chairman of Adhar, kicked off the session by introducing Adhar’s new unit in Satara. He emphasized the vital need for lifelong residential care for specially-abled adults, stressing how these institutions improve the lives of both the individuals and their families.

The meeting was full of heartfelt discussions and personal stories, fostering a strong sense of community. We are truly grateful for the support of the individuals and organizations that made this event possible.

The strong turnout from parents and the overwhelming community support made this meeting a great success. Together, we are stronger, and we thank the people of Kolhapur for their incredible participation. We look forward to continuing to grow and strengthen our community to benefit those who are in need!
