On July 31, 2024, Adhar, in partnership with Sanjeevani Institute, organized an awareness meeting in Karad for parents of children with intellectual disabilities. Around 50-55 parents attended, along with respected members of Sanjeevani Institute and Adhar’s Chairman Shri Vishwas Gore, Trustees Shri Govind Gore and Shri Ajay Mehta.
Shri Vishwas Gore reassured parents that having a child with intellectual disabilities is not their fault and encouraged them to embrace acceptance and resilience. He also emphasized the importance of lifelong care and community support. Adhar, founded by Late Shri Madhavrao Gore in 1990, currently supports around 340 children across centers in Badlapur, Nashik, and Satara. Shri Gore invited parents to visit the Satara center and offered advice to those interested in starting similar centers in Karad.
The event focused on empowering families, breaking stigmas, and building a strong support network. Shri Devdhar and his team thanked everyone for this valuable collaboration. Adhar remains dedicated to inclusive care and advocacy.
